Sharon Daly

Sharon Daly is Vice President for Social Policy at Catholic Charities USA. In this position, Ms. Daly provides overall direction to Catholic Charities USA's legislative efforts and leads its work on welfare reform and federal budget and tax issues.

A Washington public policy analyst and lobbyist since 1978, Ms. Daly was previously director of government and community affairs at the Children's Defense Fund. Specializing in anti-poverty policies, she has also directed the Domestic Social Development Office of the U.S. Catholic Conference, the public policy arm of the nation's Catholic bishops. She came to Washington after eight years of state and local experience in developing programs for low-income children, families, and senior citizens.

Ms. Daly was educated at Vassar College and Syracuse University.
