Erin O’Connell

Erin O'Connell is the associate director of communications for the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life. Prior to joining the Pew Forum in 2004, Erin was a research analyst and communications director at the U.S. Marine Corps' Center for Emerging Threats and Opportunities in Quantico, Va. During her four years at CETO, Erin oversaw a major research project that projected emerging flashpoints around the world by examining how major factors, such as religion and demographics, impact on conflict. Erin was previously the communications director at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, a research organization focusing on national security and science and technology policy. Earlier in her career, she held various communications positions at non-profit organizations, corporations, and public relations and advertising agencies.

Erin has a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
